Out with my boyfriend while thinking about being with another guy. I love what I have now but I can’t help but want more.
Not sure what I regret more: getting engaged, or breaking the engagement to be with someone else. I’m sorry Eric.
Lying in bed in various stages of undress, he turned to me and looked me in the eyes. Glancing down at my exposed arms on the white sheets he told me my scars were sexy. In complete confusion I asked him why he thought this. He replied, “they’re battle scars.” Scars of what I’ve been through, and every hardship in my life. scars of survival. He told me they were sexy. He told me I was beautiful, and perfect, and he couldn’t find one thing wrong with me.
In that moment I realized he sincerely cared about me. But behind my half-genuine smile were thoughts of my boyfriend who had no idea I was with him, another man.
One day everyone will realize I’m far from perfect.
